Hindi section, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun organized a one day training program on “Hindi Typing” for the Multi Task Services (MTS) employees of the Institute on 19.03.2018. 20 participants from different division/sections of institute were participated in the training. Smt. Neelima Shah, Registrar, FRI inaugurated the training workshop. In her inaugural address stated that this Hindi typing training will be helpful to increase efficiency of employees in day to day official work in Hindi in the institute. She also said that the participants should not only learn and improve their own skills, but they should also act as master trainers and train their fellow workers. Technical know how to use Unicode technology and Hindi typing on computer was given by Shri Nilesh Yadav, Scientist, FRI and Shri Arvind Johari, Section Officer, ICFRE to the participants in the training. Introduction and importance of Unicode technology & Hindi typing in the present time and how it can be enabled in any computer system was imparted to the participants. During the hands on practices, every participant received various typing experience and knowledge on computer in Hindi. The anchoring of the programme and present the welcome address the participants and the dignitaries were done by Rambir Singh, Scientist-D and In-Charge, Hindi Section, FRI. Hindi Section team Shri Ramesh Singh, UDC and Shri Dinesh Singh, Hindi Translator and others were present on the occasion and effort was made for success of the programme.
